Participation of parents in their child's school life

Abstract

The purpose of this master is to check the extent of participation of parents in their children's school life. There are presented problems related with the family, their functions and parental attitudes. It also includes definitions of the school and its functions. There is also discussed problem of the perception of teachers by parents and by teachers and parents. Also there is discussed the participation of parents in the educational process of the child, the essence of participation, interaction goals, and forms of cooperation teacher - parent. Moreover there is presented the pedagogical principle teacher relationships - parents, the grounds and educational characteristics of the relationship between parents and schools, as well as the teachers competence and authority of the teacher's personal relationship with parents. There is also discussed the problem of conflicts between teachers and parents. In addition there is presented the methodology of educational research, as well as tools that were used to perform empirical research. At the end are discussed the results of empirical studies, performed with parents of children from primary school through questionnaires.Celem pracy jest sprawdzenie stopnia uczestnictwa rodziców w życiu szkoły ich dzieci. Omówione zostały zagadnienia związane z rodziną, jej funkcje i postawy rodzicielskie. Przedstawione zostały również definicje szkoły oraz jej funkcje. Omówiona została problematyka postrzegania nauczycieli przez rodziców i rodziców przez nauczycieli. Poruszona została tematyka współuczestnictwa rodziców w procesie edukacyjnym dziecka, istota współuczestnictwa, cele współdziałania, a także formy współpracy nauczyciel – rodzic. Zwrócona została uwaga na zasady pedagogicznej relacji nauczyciel – rodzic, na podstawy i cechy relacji pedagogicznej między rodzicami a szkołą, a także na kompetencje personalne i autorytet nauczyciela w relacji z rodzicami. Opisany został również problem konfliktów między nauczycielami a rodzicami. Ponadto omówiona została metodologia badań pedagogicznych, a także narzędzia jakie zostały użyte do przeprowadzenia badań empirycznych. Na końcu pracy zostały omówione wyniki badań empirycznych, przeprowadzonych z rodzicami dzieci ze szkoły podstawowej za pomocą ankiety
