Enviro-Sampling Solutions

Abstract

I worked with Dr. Lampert, who is an Environmental Engineering professor at OSU and Becca Perez a engineering student. Dr. Lampert has developed an innovative new sampler for PFAS in soil and sediments. I acted as the entrepreneurial lead as our team as we participated in I-Corps. I-Corps is a NSF grant program where you explore the commercialization of a new concept or product. Over the span of 3 weeks, me and Becca Perez interviewed 34 people. These people are leading experts in the environmental field and focus on PFAS. They came from other universities, environmental labs and consultants, and even a lawyer that represented the class action case against DuPont. Through this research I have developed the business plan for the samplers. In my business plan I address the potential market and the need for a standardized method of testing soils and sediments for PFAS. I also developed the business model canvas to map out different channels related to the sales and revenues of the project. Finally I made the projected financials for the potential business
