Social representations of nurses towards their patients in psychiatric units

Abstract

Presentation of preliminary results of a qualitative research study with nurses working in acute psychiatric units in general hospitals. The study explores cognitive, emotional and behavioural implications of the work of nurses in acute psychiatric units in relation with their patients. Attention is also paid to their well-being at work. The results are obtained through an interpretative phenomenological analysis
