Mr. LttMPKIN', from the Committee on Invalid Pensions, made the following REPORT. The Committee on Invalid Pensions have had under consideration the petition of Robert S. WimbeTly, of the cmtnty qf Twiggs, and State of Georgia, and ask leave to submit the following report: The following facts are made incontestably to appear by the evi-dence produced, to wit: That in the year 1836, the Creek In-dians being then at war with the United States, a large body of their warriorfl crossed over the Chattahoochee river from Alabama, into the counties of Stewart and Randolph, in the State of Georgia, and com-menced murdering and plundering the peaceful inhabitants with the usual atrocities attending their warfare. Captain Henry W. Jerni-gan made an appeal to those in the vicinity, capab of bearing arms, to go at once in defence of the helpless women and children. Among those who volunteered for that service was the said Robert S. \Vim-berly, then only 17 years of age; that on the same day he joined ,the company, and only a few hours thereafter they came in contact with the Indians, when a desperate battle ensued, in which the said Robert S. Wimberly receiYed a wo11nd from a rifle or musket ball, which passed entirely through his body, affecting very seriously his lungs; that he was taken from the field of battle by two of his comrades, and saved from the torture of the Indians in that way. It further appears by the testimony of several eminent physicians who know the said Wimberly well, and who have made critical examination of his present condition, that he is still suffering from said wound ; that he is almost entirely disqualified from performing manual.labor ; that manual labor tends to increase his suffering from said wound, and put him in a condition to become the subject of constant and excruciating pain; that as age advances, he will become more and more helpless, and must, unless he gets aid from some quarter, become an object of charity. In view of all these facts your committee recommend that the said Robert S. Wimberly be put upon the pension-roll for full pension, to commence on the first day of December, 1855 ; and they herewith re-port a bill to accom:plish that object. All of which is respectfully submitted.
