'fhe Committee on Indian Affairs, to whom was referred the petition of Cecile Compare, petitioning fm· permission to sell her Kansas half-breed W.nds, report: 1. That the petition does not set forth sufficiently to the satisfaction the committee the rights of the parties to sell said Kansas half-lands, and that the case, as made out and set forth by the of the petitioner, would not warrant and justify the committee · g said prayer. committee are unwilling to establish a precedent on such evidence and testimony as has been adduced in the above case, right of Indians of disposing of and selling any lands which have been reserved by government for their benefit.
