Mr. DE L.A.No, from the Committee on Pensions, submitted the follow-ing REPORT: [To accompany bill H. R. 3536.] The Committee on Pensions, to whom was referred the bill (H. R. 3536) granting a pension to Samuel L. Dark, have considered the same and beg to submit the following report: The claimant was a sergeant in Captain John Stennett's company of Illinois volunteers from June 6, 1832, to September 4, 1832, and served on the frontier in the Black Hawk war. He asks a pension at $30 per month. A great number of the citizens of McDonough County, Ill., petition Congress to grant the relief prayed for, and state they have known claimant many years and know him to be an upright, honest old man, with very infirm health and almost blind; also that he has a helpless family on his hands and is in very limited circumstances. Your committee recommend the passage of the bill with the following amendment: Strike out the initial " G" in line 5 and substitute there-for the initial "L." 0
