Abstract

Paul Dunscomb is Associate Professor of East Asian History at the University of Alaska Anchorage and Director of UAA's Confucius Institute. He specializes in the domestic political aspects of Japan's Siberian Intervention, 1918-1922, Japanese popular culture, and the Lost Decade, 1992-2003. His work has appeared in the Journal of Japanese studies, East-West Connections, and Education About Asia.
