On the Conductance Sum Rule for the Hierarchical Edge States of the Fractional Quantum Hall Effect

Abstract

The conductance sum rule for the hierarchical edge channel currents of a Fractional Quantum Hall Effect state is derived analytically within the Haldane-Halperin hierarchy scheme.
