This was an online class, so they were geographically very far apart. At first they felt separated … … with everyone in their own world. But this was a Connectivist class, which meant they could  choose the topics that interested them. Slowly, they formed connections with  others who were interested in the same things. These connections grew… …and it allowed them to collaborate with people they never would have known otherwise. Even though they were far apart… …everyone felt connected. A librarian can be one of the connections too. She could participate in some of the topics… …or be a part of all of them. She can even have students come to her…. …in an online topic on information literacy… …or for an in-person information literacy session. Connectivism is all about creating connections.  Librarians can easily be connected to their users in this style of learning. The End.
