Abstract
The article it approaches the strengthening of the labour agricultural formation in the Junior High School, attending to the economic and environmental needs of the Cuban modern society. For the development of the same one there were in use the methods of the theoretical level: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and the documentary analysis. Since results offer themselves considerations in the theoretical and methodological order to direct the above mentioned formation, taking advantage of the potentials of the school and community context; and the authors propose activities that take advantage of all the potentials of the pedagogic process depending on the preparation for the agricultural work, which favour the integral preparation of the students to take in agricultural activities on agroecologicals and sustainable bases, simultaneously that is contributed to the vocational formation towards professions of this profile, and to educating the rurality.El artículo aborda el fortalecimiento de la formación laboral agropecuaria en la Educación Secundaria Básica atendiendo a las necesidades económicas y ambientales de la sociedad cubana moderna. Para el desarrollo del mismo se utilizaron los métodos del nivel teórico: histórico-lógico, analítico-sintético, inductivo-deductivo y el análisis documental. Como resultados se ofrecen consideraciones en el orden teórico y metodológico para dirigir dicha formación, aprovechando las potencialidades del contexto escolar y comunitario; y se proponen actividades que se sustentan en las potencialidades del proceso pedagógico en función de la preparación para el trabajo agropecuario, las que favorecen la preparación integral de los estudiantes para realizar actividades agropecuarias sobre bases agroecológicas y sostenibles, a la vez que se contribuye a la formación vocacional hacia oficios y profesiones de este perfil, y a educar la ruralidad como parte de la cubanía
