The Reflective Essay relates a research journey that begins with an ID 1 course assignment and incorporates the author’s interest in musical genres, a Facebook conversation with a filmmaker, the discovery of a printed source in Spanish, and research in secondary sources in Honnold/Mudd Library. In the course of her research, the author found many similarities between tango and klezmer.
