The marshes in the department of Córdoba are bodies of water of great ecosystem importance since these are buffer zones of the rivers Sinú as main axis of Córdoba and also of the river San Jorge, where in times of growing spawning their waters in these bodies of 2 water, nourishing them at the same time with sediments and nutrients so that the fauna and flora flourish, thus creating an ecosystem balance. Over the years they have been altered by human action to irrigate lands dedicated to extensive agriculture and livestock, affecting their natural dynamics. This is why it was proposed to analyze the spatial dynamics of the Betancí Swamp over time, to look and to support if this dynamic has been positive or negative in some aspects, for the optimal results of the dynamics of the water body was worked with Landsat images, The Normalized Water Difference Index (NDWI) to discriminate the water body and then used the supervised sorting method to get better results from the water body area and how it has been behaving. A través de los años estos se han visto alterados por la acción humana para regadío de predios dedicadas a la agricultura y ganadería extensiva, afectando sus dinámicas naturales. Es por esto que se propuso analizar la dinámica espacial de la Ciénaga de Betancí a través del tiempo, mirar y sustentar si esta dinámica ha sido positiva o negativa en algunos aspectos, para los resultados óptimos de la dinámica del cuerpo de agua se trabajó con imágenes Landsat, se usó el Índice de Diferencia de Agua Normalizado (NDWI) para discriminar el cuerpo de agua y luego se usó el método de clasificación supervisada para obtener mejores resultados del área de la ciénaga y como ha sido su comportamiento.
