The authors alsoreceived approval from the IRB of Stanford UniversitySchool of Medicine, who have confirmed that theirethics approval remains valid without approval from theIRB at the NICH in Karachi. The IRB at the NICH inKarachi has confirmed that the authors should haveapplied for ethics approval for this study and that theycannot provide retrospective approval.
