The aim of this research article is the analysis of the speech pronounced by Fidel Castro in 1960, in the occasion of the funeral in honour of the boat Coubre explosion victims. The speech under scrutiny is an atypical one being epideictic, or ceremonial, in its purpose, and at the same time forensic in its development. The analysis of its forensic structure shows some very interesting aspects that make it a unique speech. Castro creates an almost perfect mechanism of logic analytical demonstration, alternating inductive, abductive and deductive syllogisms, in their direct and indirect forms. The macro-structure of discourse has an abductive probabilistic form, composed of microstructures or inferences built according to deductive logic models. The results demonstrate that, in this speech, the art of rhetoric reaches its highest level, demonstrating how syllogism and logical devices can produce beauty.El presente artículo de investigación se plantea la finalidad de analizar el discurso que Fidel Castro pronunció, en 1960, durante las honras fúnebres de las víctimas de la explosión del barco La Coubre. Se trata de un discurso atípico por ser epidíctico en su finalidad, y a la par jurídico en su desarrollo. A partir del análisis de su argumentación jurídica, destacan algunos aspectos muy interesantes que lo convierten en un discurso único: Castro pone en acto un mecanismo casi perfecto de lógica analítico demostrativa, que alterna silogismos inductivos, abductivos y deductivos, en sus formas directas e indirectas. La macroestructura del discurso, de tipo abductivo probabilístico, se compone entonces de microestructuras o inferencias construidas según modelos lógicos deductivos. Los resultados demostrarán que, en su conjunto, el arte retórico llega aquí a su realización más alta, demostrando cómo el silogismo y la lógica pueden producir belleza
