Healing Prejudice sadly takes many a form It is color, caste, creed, and norm It is language, height, weight, and race It is ancestry, speech, gender, and face  Bigotry is insidious and often hidden It bursts forth quickly all of a sudden Overcoming prejudice is a practiced habit May we heal the planet we all inhabit!  Peaceful protests are a useful start What matters more are changes wrought  In law, methods, practices, attitude In norms, elections, and speech with gratitude  Why can’t we see in all sublime divinity? In elephants, trees, rivers, and humanity Through understanding we can heal And in loving prayer, together we kneel  Oft-repeated, the Golden Rule is so true Treat others as you want them to treat you Unkind acts make their dreams shatter Oh yes, the Black (all) Lives do Matter!  © Prof.  Srinivasan Ragothaman  6/18/2020.
