A geological, seismic and hydrogeological survey of the February 23, 1991 Cassino earthquake

Abstract

After the February 23, 1991 event, localized northwest of Cassino, some phenomena were noted (strong rumbles, shakes, etc.) that frightened people and alarmed the local authorities. To identify the possible causes of these phenomena, a geological and seismic survey was carried out, with particular attention to the hydrogeology of the area. Two seismographic stations were also set up. The stations were removed when the phenomena ceased.Published227-2364T. Sismologia, geofisica e geologia per l'ingegneria sismicaJCR Journa
