Flow cytometry studies on phagocytosis of hemocytes in Cherax quadricarinatus

Abstract

甲壳动物缺乏获得性免疫,主要依靠先天性免疫抵御病原的入侵。血细胞是甲壳动物最主要的免疫细胞,其吞噬作用是病原清除的主要方式之一。根据形态特征,甲壳动物的血细胞被分成不同类群,但究竟哪类细胞具有吞噬外源颗粒能力目前还存在争议。为了了解血细胞的吞噬特性,本研究采用流式细胞技术,分析了红螯螯虾血细胞对非生物颗粒与生物颗粒的吞噬情况。首先我们通过流式技术对红螯螯虾血细胞进行分析,发现主要分成两个类群,并将这两个类群分选出来,显微镜观察显示其中一群为颗粒细胞(granulocytes,GC),另一群为半颗粒细胞(semigranulocytes,SGC)。接着我们研究了血细胞吞噬荧光微球的能力,发现向螯...Crustacean lack adaptive immunity and immune defence mainly rely on innate immunity which can effectively resist the invasion of external microorganisms.
