COMMENCEMENT
-In order to make the complex machinery of Commencement work for all students, there will be 
a CUT-OFF time in the line-up process in the Gold Room on Commencement Day. If you have not 
arrived by this cut-off time, you will NOT be allowed to inarch in the processional.
Graduates are to be in the Gold Room of the Civic Auditorium by 2:00 p.m0 
-Writing home to your parents about Commencement? Why not ask them to join you at the 
Commencement Day Family Luncheon to be held in the Garth at noon. Price: $4.25 for adults, 
$2.00 for children. Tickets are purchased that day.
-Graduates: Please check your Commencement Handbooks for 
the times' when you can pick up your regalia.
-Graduates: Don't forget about your class pictures. They 
will be taken on the front steps at 9:30 a.m. Commencement 
Day. Remember - full regalia is required!
-School of Theology graduating seniors whose names are 
difficult to pronounce are asked to advise Dr. Meye's 
office of the correct pronounciation.
SEMINARS/WORKSHOPS/LECTURES
Evangelical Women's Caucus is sponsoring "God's Word to Today's Woman," a conference on 
language and translations in Scripture, to be held at Glendale Presbyterian Church. Catherine 
Kroeger, author, will be the featured speaker. Registration information available through 
the Office of Women's Concerns. Friday, June 5 (6:30-10 p.m.), Saturday, June 6 (9-4 p.m.)
MEETINGS/DISCUSSIONS
Share the Vision - Take a break from study and exams and join us in Payton 101B from 12 to 1 
on June 8. Sally Dye will focus on the challenge of resolving cross-cultural conflicts.
STUDENT HOUSING
-Graduates and others moving out this summer: Save money! Remember to submit your 30 day 
Notice-to-Vacate. You will be charged for 30 days after your notice is received in the 
Housing Office. Final move-out date for those not returning in the Fall, Friday August 14. 
-All student apartment residents: Rent increase notices and new contracts indicating a move- 
out date based on your degree program have been placed in student boxes. If yours are not 
there, please contact the Housing Office.
-Dorm residents vacating your rooms: Please make an appointment with Mary Lou Halley for your 
dorm check-out inspection. We may not be able to meet your schedule needs if you wait until 
the last minute. Move-out date is Monday, June 15, 5 p.m.
-Students on housing waiting list: If you hope to receive a housing offer during the summer, 
make sure we have a correct summer mailing address and the date you will be leaving campus. 
Failure to respond to an offer may result in your missing an apartment and/or being dropped 
from the waiting list.
FINANCIAL AID
-National Direct Student Loans for 81-82 cannot be awarded until after Congress makes its 
changes and sends us an official allocation letter.
-Student loan applications, both CGSL and FISL, should be processed now for the 81-82 academic 
year. It is a good plan to beat the imminent changes in regulations. Pick up your applica­
tion at any post-secondary school or from Betty, Student Services Secretary,
The SEMI is published by the Student Services Office on Monday of each week as a service to the Fuller Community. Notices 
may be submitted to the editor (Student Services Building, #120, 2nd floor) until 12 noon Tuesday of the week prior to 
publication. No late notices, and no artwork can be accepted. Users are encouraged to submit notices no longer than 2 
lines. Final editorial control rests with the Director of Student Services, Cecil M. Robeck, Jr. For further information

MISCELLANEOUS
-CAUTION: Please take precautions against walking alone at night. A student was recently- 
assaulted and robbed on the way home from campus. Proper precaution will help prevent such 
happenings.
-Reminder: Field Education evaluations are due at the end of the quarter.
-Volume 9:2 of our student journal Studia Biblica et Theologica will hopefully arrive during 
finals week. All students are entitled to one copy and when they arrive they may be picked 
up in the mailroom. If you wish'to receive Vol.’lO, nos. 1 and 2 this summer, please leave 
your name and address on a clipboard in the mailroom and they will be mailed to you.
-Moving Away? How about donating some of your things to the Mission Housing Project to be 
used by international and missionary students? We need desks, kitchen chairs, bookshelves, 
pillows, lamps, small appliances and cleaning.equipment (brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, etc.).

-There are a limited number of openings available for students interested in Spiritual Direc­
tion next year. If you are interested, please contact Jollene Anderson, x. 3413, for info.
-A few positions on the Fuller escort service for this summer are open. If interested, please 
notify Rick Stedman, Box 1326, as soon as possible. Please leave a note as to the evenings 
you are available to work, along with your box number and phone number. Interviews will be 
scheduled during finals week.

All School of Theology graduates are cordially invited to the annual Theology-Graduation Ban­
quet which honors the School of Theology graduates of the Class of 1981. This event will 
take place on Thursday evening, June 11,. 1981, at 6:30 p.m. at the Brookside Clubhouse, 1133 
Rosemont Avenue, Pasadena. The graduation fee covers the cost of one banquet ticket per stu­
dent. Additional tickets may be secured for $10 from Anne Demarest. No tickets will be sold
