Preparation of questionnaires for the detection of previous knowledge in Health Education, Sexuality and Nutrition of students in Secondary Education from a Spanish Penitentiary

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta el resultado del diseño y la validación de dos cuestionarios, uno sobre Educación Afectivo-Sexual y otro sobre Alimentación y Nutrición, con el objetivo de detectar los conocimientos previos en estos conceptos de Educación para la Salud en discentes de 2º de Bachillerato del Centro Penitenciario de Badajoz. Para su elaboración se siguió una metodología basada en la simulación de las normas propuestas por Warwick y Lininger. Los resultados muestran que los dos cuestionarios elaborados son útiles para la detección de dichos conocimientos, concluyéndose que este instrumento evaluativo proporciona la información necesaria para realizar intervenciones educativas con los alumnos que presenten mayor número de respuestas incorrectas.This paper presents the result of the design and validation of two questionnaires, one on Affective-Sexual Education and another on Food and Nutrition, with the aim of detecting previous knowledge on these concepts of Health Education in the 2nd year of secondary education from the Badajoz Penitentiary. A methodology based on the simulation of the rules proposed by Warwick and Lininger was followed for its elaboration. The results show that two elaborate questionnaires are useful for the detection of such knowledge, concluding that this evaluative instrument provides the information necessary to carry out educational interventions with students showing higher number of wrong answers.peerReviewe
