The thesis is divided into three parts and an
appendix. Part one is devoted to methods of collecting specimens of urine. Part two is divided into
our sections, the first of which offers some evidence
of the clinical state of the 63 infants with whom this
thesis is mainly concerned. The remaining three
sections deal with the establishment of post -natal
Penal
funetion, the volume of the urinary output, add
the frequency of micturition. Part three is devoted.
Ito a short consideration of the specific gravity,
and the hydrogen ion concentration of the urine, as
'fell as it*'s urea and chloride content.
In the appendix will be found the data concerning
the urine which has been collected
