TEXAS NINE STATES
Eggs set for the week ending June 14, 1980,
were 370,000, according to the Texas Crop and
Livestock Reporting Service. This was 10
percent below the same week last year but 3
percent above last week.
Poults hatched totaled 181,000 during the
week ending June 14. This was 20 percent below
a year ago and 10 percent below the previous
week.
Thus
been
last
far this season, 7,991,000 poults have
hatched, 8 percent above the same period
year.
The nine states in the weekly program re-
ported a total of 5,635,000 eggs set, 14
percent above last year and 12 percent above
a week ago.
Poults hatched during the week totaled
3,806,000, 3 percent above last year, and
slightly above last week.
Thus far this season, 113,297,000 poults
have been hatched, 7 percent above the cor-
responding period last year.
