Smore Tutorial  LOG IN TO Smore To create an account, go to https://www.smore.com/ . Click   At this point you can set up a Smore account or login using your Facebook account. TAKE THE SMORE TOUR The tour shows you how to design your Smore, sharing options, and how to analyze who is accessing your Smore. CREATE YOUR FLYER Click the Start a New Flyer button. In the window that opens you can select a template for the type of flyer you wish to create or you can start from a blank flyer. I suggest you start with a template for your first flyer. TITLE YOUR FLYER Your first step is to create a title for your flyer. Think about this before you begin. The name of your flyer becomes part of the URL. ex.: https://www.smore.com/h1f4g-learning-is-contagious. You can change the name of your flyer and the URL will change accordingly.   SELECT THE DESIGN FOR YOUR FLYER  Click the drop-down menu to choose your design. The free version does not appear to have many choices but you will be able to select the background, colors and font after choosing the design. Also, remember that you can change the design at any point while developing your flyer. ADD CONTENT TO YOUR FLYER  Now the fun begins. You can edit any of the “stuff” in the flyer template you chose. Just hover over the content and click the Edit link in the upper right corner. You can also delete content by clicking the X next to the Edit link. Note: Be sure you are in the edit mode. If you do not see the edit option, click  You can add any of the available “stuff” to your flyer. I found it best to add items and see how they look. You can readily delete content and add something else. Just a few notes: Text requires a title and text. Picture allows you to add a single picture or a gallery of 3 pictures. All pictures can be added with or without a caption. Embed Link requires the URL to a website and you have no control over what information is added from the website. Button allows you to title the button and add a URL plus your own description if you wish. Again, I suggest you add “stuff” and see how it looks. Add and delete at will.        UPDATE PAGE Your flyer is saved automatically every few minutes but you can click Save Now at any point while in the Edit mode. Click Update Page. This takes you from Edit mode to Preview, Print and Share.   At this point you can Preview, Print, or return to Edit your flyer.   Notice the various sharing options at the top of the page. You can share via email but you are limited by the number of emails you can send in the free version of the app. I suggest you email your flyer to yourself, then forward via your own email client.  You can also get the embed code to add your flyer to a page in your LMS or blog. This works well and appears very cleanly. If you try to download a jpeg of your flyer you will be told you must upgrade to Pro. Not so! To download a jpeg of your flyer, click the Craigslist icon. One of the options in the window that opens is to  Voilà! You have the jpeg to use as you wish. Please realize that links will not function in the jpeg. The best way to learn to use this app is to click and experiment. Just have fun. OPTIONS The free version of this app limits you to 5 flyers but you can edit existing flyers to suit your purposes. Just realize the original will be lost. You can purchase additional flyers at $6 each or buy an educators’ license for $59.00 per year. The educators’ license provides the following options:   Removable Smore branding  Best-in-class editing tools  High quality prints  Enhanced privacy  Beautiful, live analytics  Downloadable flyer JPEGs  5,000 monthly emails  Customizable backgrounds  Friendly customer support  Absolutely no ads  Special education backgrounds
