PROSTITUTION AND CRIMINAL LAW:A COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVETuesday, September 20, 2016Noon - 1:00 p.m.Seminar Rooms 4 & 5Professor Alberto Cadoppi received his law degree cum laude from the University of Parma  in 1980 and his Ph.D in Criminal Law in 1988. He was an Associate Professor in Criminal Law at the University of Trento for a decade until 1997. Since then, he joined the University of Parma where he currently works as a full professor (professore ordinario). At the University of Parma, Professor Cadoppi has served as Chair to the Department of Criminal Sciences, has been a coordinator of the PhD in criminal law, and delegate of the Law Faculty for international relations and for Eras-mus and Socrates Programmes. He is a member of the Board of the publication l’Indice Penale and has participated in projects with the Council of Europe. Professor Cadoppi has studied and conducted research at various Universities and Research Institutes, such as the Max Planck Institut f’ auslà¤ndisches und internationales Strafrecht, University of Edinburgh, University of British Co-lumbia (Canada), University of Queensland (Australia) and University of Arizona (US). He is author of more than a hundred publications and many books on a range of criminal law topics, including sexual crimes.
