Abstract

In this paper, the nature of the skills and knowledge developed by young children When using tablets is explored. The paper reports on a study of young children's use of tablets and apps in the UK. A survey was completed in 2000 by parents of children aged 0-5 on children's tablet use, and case studies were undertaken of six children in cui Their use of tablets in the home was explored. The findings indicated That parents identify a range of skills and knowledge they perceive That Their children acquire using tablets.
