Abstract

It is widely recognised that teachers have a major influence on the quality of students' learning and achievement. To perform this role effectively, however, teachers need access to appropriate continuing professional development (CPD) as well as the time, resources and support to allow them to work with colleagues. This Issues Paper summarises findings from a recent research project exploring the experiences of teachers of hairdressing in the UK (England and Wales), Norway and France.
