Identidad territorial: paisaje periurbano productivo como “marca territorial”

Abstract

La ciudad contemporánea concibe al espacio periurbano como territorio de borde entre el mundo urbano y rural, donde la incorporación real o potencial de nuevas tierras a la ciudad lo convierten en un campo de batalla. El rescate de la identidad territorial de áreas hortícolas y agrícolas como ambientes sensibles, tanto como la valorización del nuevo paisaje emergente para la planificación, parecen aportar claves a su protección, que involucran la modificación de lógicas proyectuales y normativas. El trabajo que se presenta analiza los espacios en transformación y la vocación del territorio en la expansión metropolitana norte de la ciudad de Santa Fe, Argentina, sitio que fue antropizado prescindiendo históricamente de las condicionantes del soporte natural. Sin embargo, el periurbano que nos convoca, es un fragmento que tiene la particularidad de haber mantenido en gran medida los usos productivos y residenciales preservando recursos naturales, pero conviviendo en tensión con las vulnerabilidades hídricas.The contemporary city conceives the peri-urban space as the border territory between the urban and rural world, where the real or potential incorporation of new lands into the city makes it a battlefield. The rescue of the territorial identity of horticultural and agricultural areas as sensitive environments, as well as the valorization of the new emergent landscape for planning, seem to provide keys to their protection, which involve the modification of project and normative logics. The work that is presented analyzes the spaces in transformation and the vocation of the territory in the northern metropolitan expansion of the city of Santa Fe, Argentina, a place that was anthropized, historically dispensing with the conditions of natural support. However, the peri-urban that brings us together is a fragment that has the particularity of having maintained to a large extent productive and residential uses preserving natural resources, but coexisting in tension with water vulnerabilities
