Positioning of the presence of moving objects by using SMS (Short Message Service) and voice
call are the ways which can be carried out to find the presence of mobile devices, however such
location determination is not effective if the user does not give a respond, especially when the
position is needed periodically. Mobile Positioning application is designed by utilizing the LBS
(Location Based Service) technology Android platform-based, the IMEI (International Mobile
Equipment Identity) code of the cellphone is used as user’s unique code which differs between one
device and another. The system consists of two applications which intergrated between position
sender and position controller applications. Position data is sent by position sender application
periodically on server online for then be catched by position controller application which shown
in Google maps. The examination is carried out to two separate smartphone devices, the
constructed examination results of the system show that the recipient application successfully
show the location of position of sender application
