Thefonnulation of the International Islamic School Curriculum aims atestablishing the ideals of integration, moderation and balance. Thegood Muslim will not result from a system, which teaches each of itsparts as independent pieces. Rather, the ideal person will be a resultof integrated learning that teaches that there is unity composed ofmany parts. The student of science will use their intellect to unlockthe mysteries ofAllah's multiple and wondrous creations. The studentsof literature will use their intellect to discover more about their ownnature, their relationship to Allah, humanity in general and theenvironment through the written/spoken word. Both the students ofscience and the students of literature will strive to learn in order tomaximize their unique contributions to the betterment ofman, society,environment and the whole nation (umrnah).Another integration that the curriculum aims for, is the use andintegration of the two sources of knowledge, wahy (revelation) andacquired knowledge. Revelation is derived from the Qur'an andSunnah.
