Abstract

학위논문 (석사)-- 서울대학교 대학원 : 농생명공학부, 2016. 8. 이기원.Sugnadha kokila oil (Cinnamomum glaucescens, SKO) has been widely used in folk medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation in Nepal. It has been reported that SKO has insecticidal, antifungal, antiaflatoxin and antioxidant activities. Also, 1,8-cineole, the major compound of SKO, is known for many advantage such as antimicrobial properties. It constantly consumed as a penetration enhancer for topical delivery to the skin. But the anti-aging effect of SKO and 1,8-cineole have not been studied. For these purpose, I investigated an effect of SKO and its major compound 1,8-cineole on solar UV-induced skin aging in immortalized human keratinocyte. SKO and 1,8-cineole suppressed Solar UV-induced both MMP-1 protein expression and MMP-1 gene transcription. Furthermore, 1,8-cineole suppressed AP-1 which has important role in regulating MMP expression. Also, 1,8-cineole inhibited solar UV-induced phosphorylation of MEK1/2, ERK, and p90RSK. . In addition, 1,8-cineole inhibits solar UV-induced collagenase expression and collagen degradation in 3D human skin equivalent. These result suggest that SKO and its major compound 1,8-cineole could be a potential anti-wrinkle agent for skin photoaging.Ⅰ. INTRODUCTION 1 Ⅱ. MATERIALS AND METHODS 5 1.
