Mt. Baek-am is located near east Sea of Ul-Jin gun of Kyong-sang-buk-do. The winter mean temperature 5℃ was higher than that of the same latitude inland areas. Major vegetation was Pinus densiflora-Quercus mongolica community. It was thought that the forest of Mt. Baek-am was disturbed by anthropogenic activity such as the visitation of hot spring and forest fire. Total vascular plants were recorded as 58 families, 125 genera and 164 species, and these numbers were lower than those of Mt. Jum-bong and Mt. Doo-ta located at the Tae-baek Mountains of Kangwon-do province. Two taxa, Lilium cerrum Korn. and Vaccinium koreanum Nakai as endemic taxa to Korea were recorded here. Especially the rare and endagered plants registered to the Ministry of Environment in Korea government were Lilium cernum Kom. and Wisteria floribunda (Willd.) DC. from this area
