This study focuses on the top 15 ranked accredited library and information schools in the United States, as ranked by U.S. News & World report. Content analysis of the websites of the top 15 information schools was conducted to measure the achievements of data science programs. The study gathers and codes data, such as course breakdown, program description, employed professors, offered specializations and certificates, and curriculum structure of each data-science-related program in information schools. The results may show that while many universities are incorporating data science into their curriculum by employing professors and adding courses, there is still significant room for improvement, particularly in the teaching of analytical skills and the specializations offered. A ranking of each information school according to their data science programs was completed and evaluated at the end of the research.
