113-114A comparative study on the extraction behaviour of
dioxouranium(VI) with N-phenylbenzohydroxamic
acid, N-p-tolyl-p-methoxybenzohydroxamic acid and
N-p-tolyl cinnamohydroxamic acid has been carried
out spectrophotometrically and the optimum conditions
for maximum extraction, extraction constants
and formation constants, both stepwise and overall,
are ascertained in each case. Evaluation of the composition
of the extracted species showed that dioxouranium(VI) is extracted as a self adduct complex
UO2R2,HR
