Biology of brackishwater gammarid amphipods, <i>Eriopisa chilkensis</i> (Chilton) and <i>Idunella chilkensis</i> chilton

52-54Seasonal abundance, sex ratio, fecundity and brood mortality were studied in E. chilkensis and I. chilkensis, from the Vellar-Coleroon estuarine complex. Both species were available throughout the year and were continuous breeders. Sex ratio showed seasonal fluctuations. Brood mortality was high during monsoon months (October-December)
