detection, online monitoring and controlling in fixed jacket platform in such
cases where formal analysis is tough or impossible. This paper presents
state-of-the-art information reported so far on the research studies of ANN
applications and future opportunity for fixed jacket offshore platforms. It is
found that ANNs provide fairly accurate results as compared to conventional
method. Based on the review, the future scope of work is outlined.</span
