823-827<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family: " times="" new="" roman";mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";mso-ansi-language:="" en-in;mso-fareast-language:en-in;mso-bidi-language:ar-sa"="" lang="EN-IN">A new amide, N-cinnamoylpyrrole[1-(pyrrol-1'-yl)-3-phenylprop-2E-enone] <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">1 has been isolaled alongwith twenty  two known compounds from the stems, leaves and fruits of Piper argyrophyllum Miq (Piperaceae). Among the known compounds, -tocopherol, parsley apiole and fourteen terpenes are being reported for the first time from P. argyrophyllum.</span
