Para sistematizar e homogeneizar este trabalho, garantindo uma perfeita fruição do filme em toda e qualquer situação, foram-se criando compilações de sugestões de peças em forma de planilhas e coletâneas. Boa parte deste material se baseava num inventário associativo entre elementos musicais e extramusicais já experimentadas em formas anteriores como a do teatro musical, a da música descritiva ou da ópera. Focalizando o cinema dominante de 1910 a 1927, esta pesquisa traz uma introdução às publicações especializadas que se criaram e analisa o caso das peças e sugestões utilizadas para os casos de exoticismo cinematográfico, ou como estas coletâneas ajudavam a falar dos `outros¿ do ocidenteAbstract: In the silent film era, while the film was already being distributed industrially, the music that accompanied it was still a craft work. In order to systematize and homogenize this work, guaranteeing a perfect enjoyment of the film in every situation, compilations of suggestions of pieces in the form of spreadsheets and collections were created. Much of this material was based on an associative inventory of musical and extra-musical elements already tried in earlier forms such as musical theater, descriptive music or opera. Focusing on the dominant cinema from 1910 to 1927, this research brings an introduction to the dedicated publishing that was created, and analyzes the case of pieces and suggestions used for the cinematographic exoticism, or how these collections tried to talk about the 'others' from the WestMestradoMúsica, Teoria, Criação e PráticaMestre em Músic
