Using ‘begin robotics' in undergraduate teaching

Abstract

Begin Robotics, a successful open online course, introduces cybernetics, robotics, control, haptics, artificial intelligence and artificial life. It was designed as a recruitment tool aimed at Key Stage 3 pupils. However, like previous recruitment methods used by the author, its focus is primarily educational. As such, much of the material is relevant in the first year of the undergraduate degree.
