El tópico Naturaleza y Sustentabilidad, en los contenidos del curso Historia de la Arquitectura III, se desarrolló con el sentido de revisar la arquitectura contemporánea en Latinoamérica confrontadas con las otras dos temáticas trabajadas en paralelo.1 Partimos de reconocer en la condición urbana contemporánea la relación entre arquitectura y naturaleza hoy al borde del agotamiento y subsumida en el concepto paisaje (geografía y simbolismo), atravesada por manifestaciones sociales, artísticas, intelectuales, ideológicas. Con el estudio desde textos (ambientales culturales y tecnológicos) y obras, aplicados fundamentalmente al confort y calidad de vida de la comunidad, optimizados por la relación sistémica equilibrada sociedad-naturaleza-cultura, y el uso estratégico de fuentes alternativas de energía e innovaciones proyectuales, contextuadas históricamente y referenciadas en experiencias globalocales.Nature and Sustainability was included as a special content in the course “History of Architecture III”. It was developed as a reflection on the meaning of contemporary architecture in Latin America as confronted with other two subjects worked in parallel: nature and landscape. We start to recognize that the relationship between architecture and nature in the contemporary urban condition. This relationship between nature - near the edge of exhaustion- and architecture is subsumed into the notion of landscape (geography and symbolism), straddles , artistic, intellectual , ideological concept social manifestations . We examine these relationships as they appear in texts (cultural, environmental and technological) and works mainly applied to comfort and quality of life of the community, optimized by a balanced and systemic relationship among society nature and culture , and the strategic use of alternative energy sources and innovations and contextualized historically and referenced in global/local experiences.Eje: La enseñanza de la historia y la teoría: cuestiones curriculares.Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanism
