OTOKRITIK TEKS SERAT BABAD KADHIRI TERHADAP MASYARAKAT KEDIRI: SUNTINGAN TEKS, KAJIAN HERMENEUTIK, DAN KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA

Abstract

The problem in this study is self-criticism of the Kediri society descoved in the Serat Babad Kadshiri (SBK) text by Purbawidjaya published Boekhandel Tan Khoen Swee (BTKS) in Kediri. Purpose of this study is to reveal the issues of self- criticism as an interpretation of SBK text. This study uses the theory of philology, hermeneutics, and sociology literature as an analytical tool. The type of research is qualitative. The results are compile in this thesis showed that: 1) SBK text indicate an imaginative critique of the cult Locaya figures, 2) SBK text indicate a critique of society Kediri characters that are less persistent in developing the potential of nature through the Sekartaji�s character and Kilisuci�s character, 3) self-criticism to the Kediri society in SBK text as formal objects in this study is useful for Kediri society today, 4) Kediri reflektion of people�s lives in the post in the SBK text show hopes will rise to the greatness of the Kediri Kingdom for Kediri contemporary society
