Abstract

The Intersection between the Past and Present: The past is the past, that’s the saying. But the past intersects with the present every day. My past or my history begins with my grandparents. My journey to my current place began with my grandparents. My parents then contributed and my mom solidified my destination, in my opinion. Using narrative inquiry as the basis for an investigation into my own history. From Jamaica to the United Kingdom landing where I am today in West Texas, United States of America. How my Jamaican roots have guided me, educated me, and aided me on my educational journey as an immigrant
