THE EFFECT OF TEACHER’S PEDAGOGIC COMPETENCE TOWARD STUDENT’S LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN QUR’AN HADITH SUBJECT CLASS VIII AT MTS MA’ARIF NU 1 PURWOJATI BANYUMAS ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016

Abstract

The background of this research is the realization that the teacher is the main figure who holds a learning in the schools, either in the classroom (indoor) or outside the classroom (outdoor). The learning process is a series of activities followed by student every day. A series of activities isn’t only a routine activity that must be followed by student and give punishment for students who don’t follow it but also, these activities should be held with optimal so that the student is comfort to learn. The appearance of student’s comfort is very important. Because comfort is not only give the biologically or physically needs, but also psychologically needs, with the goal that student perform the learning achievement better. And finally it is the task of pedagogical competence of teachers in managing learning. Problem took in this research is there any effect of pedagogic competence of teachers toward learning achievement of student, especially for Subjects Qur'an Hadith class VIII MTs Ma’arif NU 1 Purwojati, Purwojati District of Banyumas. This study purpose to determine whether there is the effect of pedagogic competence of teachers to learning achievement of student in school and how much the effect is. Type of this research is field research with quantitative-approach, to search population or particular sample. Objectives of this research itself is pedagogic competence of teacher in the learning process. And the information about Pedagogic competence is searched by using questionnaires distributed to students. The sample was 56 students from class VIII B and VIII C. Technique of collecting data in this study using observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation. Then technique of analysis use regression analysis. Based on the research conducted, it is concluded that there is effect of pedagogic competence on learning achievement in MTs Ma’arif NU 1 Purwojati. From the value of R Square was obtained 0,075. That is, the effect of variable X (pedagogical competence of teachers) to variable Y (student achievement) is 7,5%. From the regression equation is also shown the magnitude of Y = 64,889 + 0,215X means, if there is’t increase in the value of the variable X or X = 0, so the value of the variable Y is 64,889. A regression coefficient of 0.215 stated that every additions (from the sign +) the value of the variable X (pedagogic competence) will give rise to variable Y (student achievement) of 0.215
