Analisis Distribusi Konsentrasi CO2 Akibat Faktor Angin Pada Ketinggian 500 MBAR

Abstract

Carbon dioxide is one of the greenhouse gases which more effective in catching the shortwavesolar radiation dan emitted back into long wave radiation. Carbon dioxide concentrationdistribution in atmosphere are affected by wind factor. Comparison between monthly averageconcentration of carbon dioxide from AIRS satellite data and monthly average of NCEP-NCARdata could study the carbon dioxide distribution in 500mbar altitude. The effect of windtowards CO2 concentration was very minor in certain location above Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi where average wind speed of > 3 m/s could result of less CO2 concentration about371-375 ppm. In October 2006 there have been a decline of CO2 concentration reaching 1,13ppm above south west Indonesia Ocean, part of Sumatera and Kalimantan which assumedbecause of the non uniform wind speed and direction. CO2 Concentration distribution havesimilar characteristic in April-Mei from 2003-2009, where the north section of Indonesia havebeen increase for the concentration which affected by the Asian concentration distributiontrigger by the Pacific Ocean windHal. 243-25
