Conforme pesquisas recentes, constata-se no Brasil contemporâneo, a extrema importância de pais na vida de seus filhos adultos -- para apoio moral, o sustento material em momentos de crise, e patrocínio na busca de empregos. Com essa realidade em mente, propomos trazer alguns dados comparando a intenção da lei e as atuais políticas para a abrigagem de jovens em situação de vulnerabilidade social. Em que sentido as diferentes formas de atendimento -- abrigo e/ou família substituta -- conseguem ou não cumprir essas importantes funções da família extensa?According to recent research, Brazil is witnessing the increasing importance of parents in the life of their adult children – for moral support, material aid in moments of crisis, and sponsorship in the search for jobs. With this reality in mind, we propose to compare the intention of the law and actual policies for the accompaniment of youngsters who have been removed from their original families.
