Vzgojno-izobraževalna vloga medicinske sestre

Abstract

The author demonstrates that adult education in the field of health care can make a great contribution to the general health of the Slovene population. This function is currently performed by nurses who advise patients as to what to do during illness and how to do it. Naturally, nurses must be appropriately qualified to provide such advice. They need expertise and communication skills as well as the ability to empathise with patients. The traditional role of a nurse is not sufficient; they must also act as counsellors. In any case, this function already exists in many health care institutions in Slovenia.Avtorica v prispevku opozarja, da lahko izobraževanje odraslih na področju zdravstvene nege veliko pripomore k splošnemu zdravstvenemu stanju slovenskega prebivalstva. To vlogo že sedaj izpolnjujejo medicinske sestre, ki bolnikom svetujejo, kako in kaj ravnati med bolezm o. Za izpolnjevanje te vloge morajo biti. tudi medicinske sestre primerno usposobljene, saj zahteva ta vloga od njih predvsem veliko strokovnega znanja, sposobnost komuniciranja in empatije, torej vživljanja. v bolnikov položaj. Ugotavlja, da medinske sestre ne morejo biti več le negovalke, temveč vse bolj postajajo tudi svetovalke, in da to funkcijo praktično opravljajo že v mnogih zdravstvenih ustanovah po Sloveniji
