This paper deals with the issue of inclusion of the active population in formal and non-formal education in Slovenia. It also examines factors that influence this participation in either positive or negative way and indicates statistical models of educational inclusion. The approach stems from the current state of development of economy and society in European countries, where the economic crisis and recession has led to a fall in GDP, lower economic growth, increase in unemployment (especially in young population) and a decline in the quality of life and labour.Prispevek obravnava problematiko vključenosti slovenske aktivne populacije v programe formalnega in neformalnega izobraževanja.
