News Releases. 6762.https://ecommons.udayton.edu/news_rls/6762The University if Dayton 20th ANNUAL UD INTERNATIONAL TEA SCHEDULED News Release DAYTON, Ohio, September 16, 1981 "WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE YOU?" is the theme for the 20th Annual International Tea co-sponsored by the University of Dayton International Club and the Kennedy Union Activities Office, on Sunday, October 4,1981, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the Kennedy Union Ballroom. As has been the custom, the Homecoming queen candidates will make their first appearance as Homecoming week begins. The candidates will be introduced by Homecoming Queen Chairwoman Jane Lawrence. The Tea will feature an entertaining program of international music and dance. University of Dayton groups will include "Celebration." In addition, different countries will be represented by cultural displays arranged by students and ethnic community groups. A special event of the Tea is the presentation of the Eun Joong Chyun Memorial Certificate in memory of a 2l-year old South Korean international student who died in 1961 while attending the University of Dayton. The certificate is awarded to someone from the Greater Dayton Community who has been outstanding in providing hospitality to international students. All interested persons are invited to attend. International coffees, a variety of teas and cookies, donated by the community, will be served. Guests are encouraged to wear their native dress. There is no charge.
