Character education is an important thing to be taught to students. With the outbreak of the covid19 virus that has attacked the endire world. This causes the education or teaching and learning process by online method. This research formulated question “How to taught the value of character education for students during covid19 pandemic?”. With the aim of knowing the appropriate steps and methods. This study used a descriptive qualitative method by interviewing 4 informants. The results of this study indicate the cultivation of character education in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Sambi emphasizes religious and disciplinary character. Based on the accounts of the informants, the school has provided effective teaching methods for students. However, need a program consistency and continuity, and cooperation between schools and parents is needed so that character education can run well.
