Penatalaksanaan Fisioterapi pada Kasus Hernia Nucleus Pulposus di RSUD dr. Soeselo Slawi Tegal

Abstract

Background: Hernia Nucleus Pulposus is a disease in which a part of the nucleus made of gel-shaped material in the spinal cord exits the annulus or the part that protects it so that pressure or narrowing of the spinal nerve occurs. Objective: To determine the implementation of physiotherapy in terms of reducing pain, increasing muscle strength, reducing pain, increasing the scope of joint motion, and increasing functional activity with a micro wave diathermy modality, TENS, and McKenzie's exercise therapy. Results: After doing therapy for 4 times, the results of the assessment increased the strength of the flexor and extensor muscles T0: 3 to T4: 4, reducing pain, in silent pain 1 tenderness: 3 motion pain: 4. Then after being given intervention for 4 times the therapy. The results obtained at T1 to T4 were a decrease in pain intensity with VDS examination namely silent pain: 0 tenderness: 2 motion pain: 2. results of the examination of the range of motion of the joints with meterline namely trunk flexion 7 cm, trunk extension 3 cm, lateral flexion dextra 3 cm, lateral flexion 20 cm. Then given McKenzie Exercise intervention 3 times therapy. The results obtained at T1 to T4 were an increase in the range of joint motion in trunk flexion, trunk extension, lateral flexion and lateral flexion to 8 cm trunk flexion, 5 cm trunk extension, lateral flexion 4 cm, lateral flexion 6 cm. Conclusion: Micro wave diathermy, TENS, and McKenzie's exercise therapy can overcome the disorders that exist hernia nucleus pulposus
