A presença de minorias étnicas dentro do território de determinado país costuma ter algum tipo de reflexo nas relações desse país com o país de origem da respectiva minoria. Aqui se analisa a possível influência positiva e negativa da presença de descendentes de alemães no Brasil sobre as relações com a Alemanha, no decorrer do tempo. A análise se estende da segunda metade do século XIX até a Segunda Guerra Mundial, compreendendo também uma tentativa de verificar como esse tema foi visto pela historiografia pertinente.The presence of ethnic minorities inside the territory of a certain country uses to cause some type of influence on the relations between this country and the country of origin of this particular minority. Here it is analyzed a possible positive and negative influence of the presence of German descendents in Brazil on the relations with Germany, during a certain time period. The analysis extends from the second half of the 19th century to World War II, and includes the attempt to verify how this topic was seen by the relevant historiography
