A stochastic background of gravitational radiation from cosmological
processes in the very early Universe is potentially detectable. We review the
gravitational radiation which may arise from cosmological phase transitions,
covering both bubble collisions and turbulence as sources. Prospects for
detecting a direct signal from the electroweak phase transition or other
cosmological sources with a space-based laser interferometer are discussed.Comment: 10 pages, no figures, to appear in proceedings of Astrophysical
